Almond Butter & Strawberry Breakfast Toast

  1. As the season is changing and mornings are definitely colder, I find myself craving warm and hearty breakfasts. In fact, I secretly love cold mornings because they give me an excuse to indulge in dessert-like breakfasts. This simple, yet very tasty, toast is a perfect example. Growing up we never really had any nut butters in the house (unless you count Nutella) and I was never a big fan of peanut butter. But when I discovered almond butter a couple years back, I was mind blown! How could raw almonds turn into something so creamy and sweet once blended?! Ever since this discovery, almond butter has become a staple in my kitchen. I like to use organic raw almond butter with no additives, which makes it the perfect healthy alternative to any sweet spreads. Almonds are full of healthy fats, vitamin E, magnesium and potassium. So even if you think you’re indulging, you’re actually doing your body a whole lot of good!

This breakfast toast is the easy solution for a weekday morning when you’re in a rush. Don’t forget to savor every bite though, it’s not because you’re in a hurry that you can’t take the time to appreciate what you fuel your body with – especially when it tastes this good! I made the recipe for a single toast, but you can easily double or triple (heck, quadruple) the quantities to make as many toasts as your palate desires :)

Almond Butter & Strawberry Breakfast Toast – serves: 1 toast | prep time: 5 min | cooking time: 0


  • 1 slice GF bread (or bread of choice)
  • 1 big fresh strawberry
  • 1 tbsp raw almond butter
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp unsweetened shredded coconut


Begin by toasting your slice of bread. Then thinly slice the strawberry lengthwise.

Once the bread is ready, assemble the toast. Spread the almond butter evenly on the slice of bread. Sprinkle the chia seeds directly on the almond butter. Place the strawberry slices so that they all fit on the bread. Drizzle the honey all over the toast and finally dust  the shredded coconut on top of it all.

And there you go: quick and easy delicious breakfast!
